A short course in wonder
Trees, forests and the natural world are central in the stories of the life of the Buddha and his journey towards awakening. We know the Buddha has much to teach us, but so too do the trees.
This Easter, join Akasamati and friends on an adventure into realms of wonder.
We'll be meditating on and with the trees and other local beings, opening to the Dharma they can teach us. Drawing on the stories in the early Buddhist texts and recent research into aspects of the natural world, we'll stir our imaginations and open our hearts to the wisdom and mysteries of the life around us.
There will be plenty of meditation, quiet time for reflection and communing with the bush, as well as ritual and playful creativity.
Suitable for those familiar with the Triratna mediation practices (mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana).
