Rainy Season Retreat

Following the tradition of the Buddha and his disciples
Traditionally this is a time of year where mist and rain prevails at Sudarshanaloka. The nights may still be dark and long and there can be a chill wind winding through the Tararu valley. It's a perfect opportunity to come together with others on retreat and deepen our practice and understanding of meditation, ritual and the Dharma.
Surrounded by the elemental nature of Sudarshanaloka we'll be wrapping up warm and sharing stories from the time of the Buddha, immersing ourselves in the beauty of evening pujas by candlelight, chanting mantras to evoke the presence of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, gathering around the glowing warmth of the community fire and nourishing ourselves in the company of sangha.
This retreat is suitable for those who are already familiar with our practices. Numbers will be limited to 14 including those leading.
