Starts 30 Mar 2018

The joys of creating and weaving your way to calm

On this retreat we will be focusing on the joys of making. We will spend time in the beautiful Sudarshanaloka bush gathering materials and making Mala's with our bounty. There will be an opportunity to make beads from clay and fire them in a small sawdust firing. We will meditate, recite mantra, relax and tell stories while weaving these positive energies into our malas.

Mala’s are an ancient meditation tool which help to calm and focus the mind. The beads on a mala necklace or bracelet are used for counting mantras or breaths and add another dimension to your practice. They can be "kinesthetic" - not only are you speaking and hearing the mantra but also feeling the bead between your fingers which helps to keep you awake to the mantra or breathe in another way.
