30th Anniversary of the Sudarshanaloka Stupa
On February 15th, Parinirvana Day, 1997, Sangharakshita consecrated the Sudarshanaloka Stupa by placing in it some of the ashes of his beloved friend and teacher Dhardo Rimpoche. We have been commemorating Paranirvana Day at the stupa for the 29 years since then, which means that next year, 2027, will be the 30th anniversary. A significant occasion indeed!
You are warmly invited to join us in marking this special Stupa Anniversary and Parinirvana Day. The main event will be on Sunday 14th February and include the launch of the new Memorial Area project. But why not make a weekend of it and come for the Saturday as well, to make the most of the Land of Beautiful Vision? The programme is being planned so put the date in your diary and watch this space.
