Stupa Anniversary Celebration
The Stupa at Sudarshanaloka is one of many within the Triratna Buddhist community. And within many of these stupas are contained some of the ashes of Dhardo Rinpoche who was one of Sangharakshita's eight main teachers and a good friend.
Visit this Flicker site to see some images of different stupas around the Triratna world.
When the Stupa was originally dedicated Sangharakshita suggested that we celebrate the life of Dhardo Rinpoche, the Triratna Order, the wider Triratna Buddhist community and the glorious project of Sudarshanaloka each year on the Stupa's dedication anniversary. This is what we try to do.
This year is the 30th anniversary of Dhardo Rimpoche’s death so there will be a programme based on this theme with details to come shortly.
