Stupa anniversary day
You are warmly invited to join us in marking the 29th Stupa Anniversary Day. This year's theme is Parinirvana and the Four Reminders.
The programme starts at the Upper Retreat Centre at 10am with refreshments, before we move into a day of ritual, meditation and reflection on The Four Reminders, or Mind Turning Reflections. This set of teachings reminds us of ‘the facts of life’ from the Buddhist perspective. They are wake-up calls, jolts to our complacency, and motivations on the path of practice.
As well as time at the Stupa and in the shrine room we'll also enjoy a relaxed shared lunch with friends, and of course the special ambience and beauty of Sudarshanaloka.
Please bring:
- Photos of loved ones who have died during the past year or so, to place on the shrine
- Vegetarian food to share for lunch
- Suitable clothing for the conditions - probably sun protection, water bottle etc (it can be hot up there) ... or maybe rain gear?
- A contribution of dana/koha towards the day
If you would like to stay over Friday and/or Saturday nights please book below.
PARKING: You may park on the property, either at the Red Shed or Midway parking areas only. There will be a vehicle shuttle up the hill for those who need assistance, otherwise please allow time to walk up for a 10am start.
