Sudarshanaloka Dharma Workshop and AGM
This event starts with a study workshop led by Purna on Sangharakshita's Bodhisattva precepts, delving into a selection of them and exploring how we personally respond to these lofty ideals.
When Sangharakshita received the Bodhisattva ordination from one of his teachers, Dhardo Rimpoche, in 1962, it was the culmination of being "thrilled, uplifted, exhilarated and inspired" by the Bodhisattva Ideal.
The creation of the Triratna Order and Movement emerged from that inspiration. And Sudarshanaloka's name, 'a realm of beautiful vision for the awakening of the Bodhi Heart,' explicitly points to this manifestation of Triratna's aspirations and activity.
There will be in-person groups gathering at you local NZ centre, even though this event is online. We'd really love to encourage everyone who can, to join us with their local group at the Wellington and Auckland Buddhist Centres or in Thames at a venue to be confirmed. And if you cannot make any of these groups, don't fret, you are most welcome to join us via the following ZOOM meeting link.
