Changes at Sudarshanaloka

Sraddharochani and Dharshanasiddhi front

Guhyavajra has decided to retire as land manager at Sudarshanaloka after May 2026 bringing to a closure 7 years living at Sudarshanaloka. His intention is to move south to his mountain hut in the South Island, central north west Nelson, and pursue a quiet meditative life style. In his own words, at 71 he has got too old and decrepit for the job.

As luck would have it, Dharshanasiddhi is keen to take over the role of land manager and Sraddharochani retreat hosting and food (a big job). Both are eminently qualified to do the work and make a significant contribution to Sudarshanaloka helping to steer through its next phase. They will bring fresh energy and initiative with a love of the place and good knowledge of the local community having spent many years living up the Kauaeranga valley. We are very pleased they have made this committment and welcome them to Sudarshanaloka looking forward to their arrival - which should be around May/June.
