Metta retreat
Sudarshanaloka summer retreat
Summer at Sudarshanaloka is an opportunity to be on retreat in the bush, swimming in the rivers, enjoying good company and vegetarian food in context of Buddhist practice.
A retreat themed on the Karinaya metta Sutta - ‘Living with Kindness’ - based on the Buddha's teaching of metta. We will explore the subject in light of Sangharakshita's presentation on metta in context of meditation and periods of silence with plenty of time to bomb the river pools and contemplate in the summer forests of Sudarshanaloka.
A practical exploration of the subject through meditation, talks and group discussion, this retreat will draw together Sangharakshita’s teachings on metta to equip those attending to return to their lives and communities with greater confidence and connection to Buddhist practice.
