Stupa anniversary day - 15th February

Starts 7 Jan 2025

Stupa Anniversary Day

The stupa is an important Buddhist monumental structure and is the spiritual and symbolic apex of Sudarshanaloka.

The stupa at Sudarshanaloka is one of several within the Triratna Buddhist community containing ashes of Dhardo Rimpoche, significant teacher and friend of Sangharakshita, the founder of the Triratna Buddhist Community. The consecration of the stupa by Sangharakshita on Parinirvana Day 1997 initiated an annual tradition at Sudarshanaloka of coming together on this weekend to reflect on Parinirvana - the Buddha's ultimate release - and to celebrate the life of Dhardo Rimpoche.

We will also have the mitra ceremony of one of our community members, Tessa Benkt.

Come join us for this day of celebration!
