Turning Towards Death and Dying

Starts 10 Jan 2026

Open to all

On this open retreat we will be turning towards the beauty of impermanence, the heartbreak of our own and others' inevitable mortality and reflecting on how we can wake up to the truth, prepare the way and live a life of deeper meaning.

We will have a mix of meditation, ritual, talks, discussion and personal sharing. There will be periods of silence as well as plenty of time to connect with others and explore the natural beauty of Sudarshanaloka in the summer.

On our retreats we share simple chores including food preparation as part of our collective practice of building friendships and caring for each other.

This retreat is open to newcomers as well as experienced dharma practitioners. It will be helpful for us to know your level of meditation experience when booking.
