Turning Towards Death & Dying
Making friends with death and impermanence
On this retreat we will be turning towards the beauty of impermanence, the heartbreak of our own and others' inevitable mortality and reflecting on how, if we wake up to the truth, we can live a life of deeper meaning.
The programme will include Buddhist meditation, mantra chanting, ritual and ceremony. There will be talks, reflection exercises, creative sessions and opportunities for personal sharing.
We will also enter spacious periods of silence and allow time for immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the forest and river surrounds of Sudarshanaloka.
On our retreats we share simple chores including food preparation as part of our collective practice of caring for each other and cultivating spiritual friendships.
This retreat is most suitable for those with some Buddhist meditation/retreat experience.
If you are new to the Triratna Buddhist tradition and/ or the topic of death and impermanence please send us an email before booking.
